(KRON) — An early-morning crash left one girl dead and despatched two males to the hospital with “major” accidents, the California Highway Patrol confirmed to KRON4.

Around 4 a.m., a 2019 Lincoln MKC was concerned in a non-injury crash with a 2012 Toyota that had a person behind the wheel and a lady sitting in the passenger seat. The Lincoln was occupied by a solo male driver. Both autos had been in the northbound lanes of SR-92.
CHP says the autos had been parked in quick lane and the occupants had exited autos to alternate data. That’s when a 2022 Dodge Durango touring in the primary lane crashed into each autos and all three pedestrians.
The girl from the Toyota was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash. The two males had been taken to a hospital with “major but non-life threatening” accidents.

The Dodge flipped onto the appropriate shoulder, and CHP stated nobody was in the automobile when legislation enforcement arrived on scene. Initial statements in the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) stories from CHP officers on the scene states that the automobile that crashed into the parked automobiles was possibly racing when the collision occurred.
