17 drivers cited in Berkeley DUI checkpoint

(KRON) – The Berkeley Police Department introduced the outcomes of the DUI checkpoint operation that was carried out on Feb. 9. 

17 drivers had been working a car unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license. A complete of 820 drivers had been contacted on the checkpoint.

Berkeley PD carried out the checkpoint on Ashby Avenue and (*17*) Pablo Avenue from 8 p.m. on Feb. 9 to 12:15 a.m. on Feb. 10.

Berkeley PD introduced the following DUI checkpoint will likely be held on March 14. 

Berkeley police stated the first goal of DUI checkpoints is to advertise public security.
