(KTLA) — Six individuals died when a jet crashed close to the French Valley Airport in Murrieta, California early Saturday morning, marking the second deadly crash at the airstrip in one week, authorities stated.
According to the FAA, the Cessna C550 enterprise jet crashed simply north of the airport round 4:15 a.m.
The flight, which had departed from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, went down in a subject and burst into flames.
“Deputies located an aircraft fully engulfed,” the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department stated. “Six occupants from the plane were located and pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The crash prompted a small brush hearth that crews have been in a position to extinguish in one hour, the Riverside County Fire Department stated.
The identities of the victims weren’t instantly launched.
Saturday morning’s crash comes simply 4 days after one man was killed when his plane crashed after taking off from French Valley Airport.
The FAA and the NTSB are dealing with the investigation.
