The White House stated Friday that it expects Sweden’s NATO membership to win last approval within the close to future.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated it was “possible” that Turkey and Hungary will drop their opposition at subsequent week’s NATO summit, but when not, “we believe it will happen in the not too distant future.”
Sullivan stated there was “fundamentally goodwill” on Sweden’s bid throughout the alliance.
