Douglas Zimmerman/SFGATEBART trains have been delayed by a number of minutes following a magnitude 5.1 earthquake that rattled the Bay Space on Tuesday morning, officers mentioned.
BART posted at 12:21 p.m. on Twitter: “All monitor inspections at the moment are full. No injury discovered and all service is obvious for regular operations. Delay restoration is in progress. Trains are at present delayed by 3-18 minutes.”
The earthquake, which came about at 11:42 a.m. simply south of Mount Hamilton within the hills of east San Jose, was felt all the best way in Fairfield, Stockton and Salinas, the U.S. Geological Survey mentioned. Fortunately, no injury to BART trains or monitor was discovered after conducting inspections, the transit company mentioned.
