(BCN) — Kaiser Permanente should overhaul behavioral health care companies and pay a $50 million advantageous underneath a settlement settlement introduced Thursday by the California Department of Managed Health Care.

Under the settlement, Kaiser may also make investments totaling $150 million over 5 years towards bettering behavioral health care companies.

Gov. Gavin Newsom praised the settlement on Thursday, saying it’s going to give Kaiser enrollees full and well timed entry to companies they’re entitled to underneath state regulation.
