Mulitple northbound lanes of Highway 101 in San Jose were closed down for hours very early Thursday after a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.
One lane was open on 101 prior to the Oakland Road leave, supporting commute traffic for miles to the Interstate 280-680 interchange.
The California Highway Patrol obtained the first telephone call at regarding 3:40 a.m. Officers were still went to the scene greater than 2 hours later on, exploring the crash and regulating traffic.
All lanes were open following 6 a.m., the CHP claimed.
It was not right away clear why the pedestrian was on the freeway.
