Man accused of robbing 3 pharmacies arrested

(KRON) – A person accused of robbing prescription medicine from three pharmacies was arrested on Friday, in accordance with the Morgan Hill Police Department.

On Dec. 30, Morgan Hill law enforcement officials responded to a Rite-Aid on Monterey Road to analyze the report of a theft that had simply occurred. (*3*) officers discovered that the suspect was a person who approached the pharmacy counter informing the pharmacist he was armed. The suspect demanded prescription drugs and the pharmacist complied. The suspect managed to flee the scene earlier than officers arrival.

According to Morgan Hill police, the Gilroy Police Department reported an analogous incident at a CVS pharmacy.

Morgan Hill police have been alerted to a different theft at a CVS positioned at 16995 Walnut Grove Drive on Feb. 7. The suspect said he was carrying a firearm and demanded the prescription drugs.  

Morgan Hill police detectives recognized the suspect as 44-year-old Hollister resident Rodolfo Duarte.  

Morgan Hill detectives positioned and arrested Duarte on Feb. 23. Duarte was transported and booked into the Santa Clara Main Jail for 3 counts of theft.
