Oscar De La Hoya is singing his praises for Travis Barker.
Ahead of the launch of his HBO documentary The Golden Boy, the 50-year-old former professional boxer admitted that he’s “grateful” for the 47-year-old blink-182 drummer for being a “father figure” to his daughter Atiana when he couldn’t be.

“Look, I didn’t raise my kids, you know? Their moms did. And I have to give credit where credit is due,” Oscar shared with Entertainment Tonight.
Oscar and Shanna Moakler welcomed Atiana, now 24, in 1999, a 12 months earlier than they break up. Shanna, 48, married Travis in 2004 when Atiana was 5.
“I’m grateful that Barker was there, you know, as a father figure for my daughter,” Oscar continued. “I have to be grateful that Shanna was a mother to Atiana, and just know my place, basically, you know? My place — I’m obviously a father, and I’m proud of it.”
He added, “But, again, I’m grateful for what they’ve done, especially with Barker. He’s obviously stepped up to the plate.”
Oscar additionally stated that he and Travis are in contact with one another.
“He’s such a nice guy. I have the utmost respect for him,” Oscar stated. “He’s a good guy. I’ve talked to him several times. And we communicate about Atiana. I’m just grateful for what he’s done.”
Along with Atiana, Travis shares son Landon, 19, and daughter Alabama, 17, with Shanna. Travis and spouse Kourtney Kardashian just lately introduced that they’re anticipating their first youngster, a son, collectively and they’re teasing his identify already!
