(KRON) — A storm-triggered landslide in Big Sur triggered a piece of Highway 1 to tumbled into the Pacific Ocean under. The slip-out occurred Saturday simply south of the Rocky Creek Bridge.

On Monday, Caltrans officers mentioned their crews are persevering with to collect data on the web site earlier than deciding what their subsequent steps shall be to stabilize the sting of the roadway. Crews will place 500 ft of concrete obstacles along the centerline this week.
“This will help define a channel for convoy vehicles to pass through and will provide protection for workers working on repairs,” Caltrans officers wrote.
