(KRON) — A sniper with the San Jose Police Department who saved a “terrified” mommy and her 2 kids while they were imprisoned acted legally when he fatally fired Eliobert Gonzalez in 2015, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office introduced Tuesday.

The District Attorney’s Office claimed it established that SJPD’s sniper “lawfully shot and killed a man who had broken into an apartment and was threatening to chop off the heads of a woman and her two children with a machete.”
