Los Angeles — A United Airlines Boeing jet shed a primary touchdown equipment wheel Monday while removing from Los Angeles and later on landed securely in Denver, the airline company stated.
There were no reported injuries on the ground or aboard Flight 1001, United stated in a declaration.
“The wheel has been recovered in Los Angeles, and we are investigating what caused this event,” the declaration stated.
The Boeing 757-200 was bring 174 travelers and 7 crewmembers.
On March 7, a United Boeing B777-200 jet shed a tire mid-air after takeoff from San Francisco. It arrived on a vehicle in a flight terminal staff member parking area. Nobody was harmed.
